BERING Rothschild, robusto (4.75x50). Honduras.
I’m a fan of Bering. They’re not the world’s finest, but they’ve been around forever, they know what they’re doing, which is making very good cigars, and they don’t overcharge. They are indeed a shrewd investment, as the ad says.
This has more sweetness than some other Bering shapes that I’ve tried. The taste is big and soft, with lots of thick, almost liquid smoke. For this price, it’s a damn good robusto. But then, Bering specializes in exceptional value. It even has some kick to it, belying its almost gentle character.
Bourbon adds a pleasant touch of leather charcoal. About $1.90.
