EL CREDITO Fumas, corona large (6x44). USA.

The brand name should ring a bell.  El Credito makes La Gloria Cubana.  The trimmings and scraps go into two short-filler bundle cigars: the Super Habaneros and this one.

The Fuma starts medium and rich, with oily spice and caraway.  It has a perfect draw, typical of a Miami cigar.  Miami is full of Cubans, and they know how to roll.  This is as close to a La Gloria segundo as you're going to get, and it's a very, very close second, better than some primos I've had from the new Dominican factory.

You'll want port with this cigar, too.  The wine gets more interesting and the smoke gets smoother, with a hardwood-smoky note.

As it burns down, the Fuma keeps improving and getting rounder and fuller.  By the end, it's got real muscle.

An awesome cigar, for around a buck.
