Millennium
This is our newest favorite place to hang out. We'll get to the food and wine, but first the location (convenient), parking (not bad), deign and imagination (outstanding). Somebody must have had and unlimited budget and exceeded it. Millennium has been designed with great sensitivity to both smokers and non-smokers. Upstairs, in this richly designed eatery there is one of the nicest cigar rooms in town.
Be forewarned; this in not just another steakhouse in an already crowded market. Millennium's chef gives you a lot to select from, including an excellent Seared Salmon Filet or Smoked Tuna entrée. The feature twelve sauces to select from to accompany your entrée (all can be ordered on the side). Appetizers are excellent, but the Seared Crab Cakes at $8.95 and a very special Hot Smoked Salmon with Citrus Marinated Capers excel. Sides are great but do not miss the Balsamic White Beans, one portion will serve four people. The Gnocchi Ragu as a side could easily substitute as an entrée. Try the Dry Aged Beef, which can be prepared four different ways.
Whatever you decide on for dinner have the Roasted Vegetables, freshly prepared and outstanding.
We usually don't stress desserts, as most of us feel guilty after the kind of indulgence you experience at Millennium. Go ahead, a little guilt is good for you, you can drown you depression with a glass of Port later. Desserts here have substance and content which supersedes those visually attractive dishes that fail to fill your tummy. Desserts vary nightly; your waitperson will be very helpful with your selection.
The wine list is very user friendly, over ninety regulars and over twenty-five of the Reserve Red. The bar is fully stocked and most definitely a place to be seen.
