Palm Restaurant - BostonThe Palm is part of the nationwide chain. However, each property seems to take on a local personality. The Palm is known for their excellent steak, lobster and veal. (The Palm started as an Italian Restaurant.) All of the side dishes such as onion rings or cottage fries are fabulous. The entrees are expensive because the Palm starts with great food preparation.
The prime aged New York strip at $28.00 is excellent with the combo side order of half and half--cottage fries and fried onions--$6.00. You have to really want to eat lobster to go for the four-pound monster--succulent, meaty and fabulous.
The wine list is pretty standard, so expect to pay around $45.00 for a decent bottle. The bar is not only cigar friendly, but also sells cigars. The bartenders pour with a generous hand and the selection is terrific.
This is a very active spot located in the heart of Copley Square. Even if you arent up to a full meal, the Palm is a good spot to water down and enjoy a cigar or two.
